WHAT IS IT?
Kohala Food Hub, in partnership with Hawai'i Food Hub Hui, Hawai'i Department of Education and Hawai'i Good Food Alliance, is serving a free food box program funded by the USDA from 2/3/25-7/3/25. We distribute free local food boxes valued at $55 each filled with local produce and proteins to 177 households in North Kohala and Waimea, serving over 700 residents/week with over 10,000 pounds of locally grown food each week, supporting our small and mid-scale farmers and ranchers while increasing equitable community access to fresh, healthy food.
Boxes are distributed on Thursday afternoons in Kapa'au and Waimea. The program is currently fully enrolled. If you'd like to be added to our waiting list, please email operations@kohalafoodhub.com
